The 2008 CYEA.

This exciting international award recognizes, honors and celebrates exceptional young entrepreneurs and the role of creativity in their success. JCI seeks to provide an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to celebrate their creativity, and to support business creativity and new enterprise development in general.

By holding a national search with the theme: Shine! Standout to be the World's Most Creative Entrepreneur, JCI-Philippines is hoping to prove that our young entrepreneurs are amongst the world's most creative while raising the profile of JCI as a non-profit organization fostering fellowship through business leadership across the world.

Who we are looking for.

We are looking for young business people who used their imagination and creativity to start a business, or evolve a business which could be any number of things, including using creativity in product development, service development, or even in the way they approach the market. The key is how they have tackled something in a fresh way, using their talent, imagination and ingenuity to drive their business enterprise.

The competition is open to all young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40 and anyone can nominate an entrepreneur. Young entrepreneurs are encouraged to nominate themselves.

Nomination process. The CYEA nomination process involves the simple completion of an online nomination form found at www.jci.cc/cyea. Nominations will be entered into an international open pool competition. From these entries a panel of experts drawn from within the economic and entrepreneurial community will select 3 finalists to move onward to the International 2008 JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award Competition.

World's best. The 3 finalists will receive a free round-trip airline ticket to New Delhi, India, on 4-5 November 2008 to attend the JCI World Congress. The prize package also includes free hotel stay at the congress headquarters hotel and one free JCI World Congress registration. One finalist will be selected by a panel of international judges as the 2008 JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur - the top creative young entrepreneur in the world.

Partnership that works. Robinsons Land Corporation has generously provided JCI-Philippines with the financial support to implement this nationwide. Hence, this undertaking is named the "JCI Philippines-Robinsons Malls 2008 Creative Young Entrepreneur Award." The Robinsons Malls network has pledged to play an active role in promoting the CYEA, and we expect all JCI-Philippines LOMs and members to contribute toward the success of this program.
