PEA Points
To achieve our goal of proving that young Filipino entrepreneurs are amongst the world's most creative, it is important that we receive as much nominees as possible and triple last year's entries to 100 this year.
Your National Board has identified LOM participation as the key to meeting this target and for this purpose, it has decided to provide LOMs with incentives through the incorporation of CYEA in the Performance Efficiency Award (PEA) system of JCI-Philippines.
Active involvement in the CYEA will give you the following points:| Area Partnership | - 5 points | |
| Regional Partnership | - 5 points | |
| LOM Nomination | - 2 points per nominee | |
| (Maximum of 20 points or 10 nominees) |
Area/Regional Partnership Guidelines
- A CYEA Partner is a LOM in good standing that helps market and promote CYEA.
- Partnership with the CYEA Team is on a first come-first serve basis.
- The objective of this Partnership is to help the CYEA Team get additional sponsors (cash or in-kind) and maximize CYEA information dissemination among the communities served by the LOMs.
- Only one LOM may serve as Area or Regional Partner.
- An Area Partner may not concurrently serve as Regional Partner and vice versa.
- An Area or Regional Partner must assign a member to serve as CYEA Co-chair for the respective Area or Region.
- The JCI member assigned as Area Co-chair shall be responsible for the marketing and promotion of CYEA among the different Regions under his/her jurisdiction.
- The JCI member assigned as Regional Co-chair shall be responsible for the marketing and promotion of CYEA among the different LOMs under his/her jurisdiction.
- Marketing (sponsorship letters), promotional (flyers, posters, etc.), and collateral materials (EDMs or electronic direct marketing materials) must be secured by the Area/Regional Co-chair from the CYEA Team and distributed to target sponsors and the Regions/LOMs, as may be applicable.
- The Area/Regional Co-chair shall be responsible for the monitoring of the marketing and promotion of CYEA among the Regions/LOMs, respectively, which it must report to the CYEA Team.
- The five (5) PEA points shall be accredited to the participating LOM only after the completion of the project and the certification of the CYEA Team attesting to the participation of the LOM concerned.
LOM Nomination Guidelines
- Nomination in CYEA may be accomplished by the nominee himself or a third party (JCI LOM or non-JCI entity/individual/organization).
- For purposes of the PEA points, a nominator is a LOM that is in good standing who submits a nomination in behalf of an entrepreneur.
- The objective of nominating an entrepreneur is to provide an opportunity for the LOM to promote the JCI mission and network with young businessmen in their community. LOMs may likewise use the promotion of CYEA as a vehicle for recruiting prospective JCI members.
- Winning the CYEA depends largely on the manner the nomination form is accomplished. A LOM nominator must, therefore, study the CYEA carefully so as to be able to fill-up the nomination form in the best way possible and thus, increase the winning chances of the nominee. (see Winning Tips: A guide to submitting the best entry; CYEA Circular No. 5)
- A LOM nominator must log-in at the JCI website (www.jci.cc) and fill-up the CYEA online nomination form (www.jci.cc/programs/en/cyea/cyeaentryform) on behalf of their nominee.
- Entries must be submitted on or before 31 May 2008.
- Two (2) PEA points shall be accredited in favor of the participating LOM for every nominee submitted (must not have been disqualified). A certification as to the total number of points a LOM nominator received shall be issued by the CYEA Team after the completion of the project.
A LOM nominator may submit as many nominees as possible but will only receive PEA points for the first ten (10) entries for a maximum of twenty (20) points.
Other Incentives
Finding the most creative young Filipino entrepreneurs and sending them abroad to compete against the world's best is a tall order for the CYEA Team. While your CYEA Team believes that there are a lot whose business creativity far exceed the CYEA criteria, still, getting them to participate requires the broadest promotion of the program among JCI and non-JCI members alike.
This entails not only engaging in extensive internal campaign but also requires forging strategic alliance by CYEA Area/Regional Partners and other LOMs with business organizations and institutions, the mass media, and enterprises who see entrepreneurs as partners in creating positive change.
To encourage the involvement of these entities in the promotion of CYEA, your CYEA Team has decided to allow CYEA Area/Regional Partners and other LOMs to receive fifteen per cent (15%) of whatever cash sponsorship they can generate subject to the following conditions:- Availment of this incentive scheme and use of the CYEA Team sponsorship letters with the corresponding package and rates shall be construed as an express concurrence and an explicit undertaking to faithfully comply with all of these conditions.
- The objective of this incentive program is to encourage LOMs to tie-up with non-JCI entities in extensively promoting CYEA to get the optimum number of nominations all over the country.
- LOMs shall only use the CYEA Team-provided sponsorship letters. (See attachment)
- LOMs shall only offer prospective sponsors the CYEA Team approved sponsorship packages with the corresponding rates. (See attachment)
- LOMs may tie-up with sponsors in either of three ways:
- Corporate Sponsorship
- In-kind/Ex-deal Sponsorship
- Souvenir Program Advertisement
- Corporate Sponsorship
- LOMs may send out as much sponsorship letters to prospective corporate sponsors as they can, BUT only the CYEA Team is authorized to finalize and sign an agreement with said prospective sponsors. In other words, LOMs may ONLY indorse/refer corporate sponsors to the CYEA Team. This is to avoid a possible breach of the exclusivity/lock-out agreement with prior event partners such as Robinsons Land Corporation and Robinsons Malls, Business Mirror, and Philippine Daily Inquirer, among others.
- Following the conclusion of an agreement between the CYEA Team and the corporate sponsor and upon receipt of the sponsorship by the CYEA Team, the 15% share of the soliciting LOM shall be sent to it immediately.
- Corporate Sponsorship is divided into three categories:
- Gold Sponsor-PhP150,000.00
- Silver Sponsor-PhP100,000.00
- Bronze Sponsor-PhP75,000.00
- LOMs must send endorsements/referrals (which must include the name and contact number of the prospective sponsor) of corporate sponsors to the CYEA Team as soon as the latter have signified interest to support the project but not later than 20 May 2008.
- In-kind/Ex-deal Sponsorship
- LOMs may invite prospective partners (TV, radio, print media; prize sponsor; etc.) for in-kind/ex-deal sponsorship but must be referred to the CYEA Team for concurrence. This is to avoid a possible breach of the exclusivity/lock-out agreement with prior event partners such as Robinsons Land Corporation and Robinsons Malls, Business Mirror, and Philippine Daily Inquirer, among others.
- In promoting CYEA through media partners, LOMs shall only use official CYEA marketing, promotional, and collateral materials.
- In-kind sponsorship or ex-deals must be indorsed/referred to the CYEA Team for concurrence.
- LOMs must send endorsements/referrals (which must include the name and contact number of the prospective sponsor) of prospective in-kind/ex-deal partners to the CYEA Team as soon as the latter have signified interest to support the project but not later than 20 May 2008.
- Souvenir Program Advertisement
- LOMs may solicit as much advertisement in the Souvenir Program as they can and may themselves conclude an advertising agreement with any sponsor provided that it shall be the responsibility of the LOM to forward the advertisement design/copy to the CYEA Team together with the payment, net of the 15% share of the soliciting LOM, before the advertisement can be included in the souvenir program.
- The cost of advertising in the CYEA Souvenir Program shall be as follows:
- Front inside spread - PhP15,000.00
- Front inside cover - PhP7,500.00
- Center spread - PhP15,000.00
- Back inside spread - PhP15,000.00
- Back inside cover - PhP7,500.00
- Outside back spread - PhP20,000.00
- Outside back cover - PhP15,000.00
- One whole page - PhP5,000.00
- LOMs must send advertisement design/copy for the Souvenir Program and the corresponding payment to the CYEA Team on or before 18 June 2008.
